The Mystery of the Bermuda Triangle

What is the Bermuda Triangle?
The Bermuda Triangle. A place that causes fear in the minds of sailors. A place where ships go to never come back. Well, at least that's how the legend goes. Immediately, the question we all ask is "Why does this happen?" Is it Crystal Energy dragging them down to Atlantis? Time Portals? Or even underwater alien bases? All these things seem a little strange. You would think there's a scientific reason, right? Maybe they're Rogue Waves, Sub-Sea Pyramids, or Hexagonal Clouds. Wrong.

The Bermuda Triangle is a place that everyone labels as dangerous. Many people think that if you go to the Bermuda Triangle, there's a certainty of death. This is definitely not the case. We can all agree that the Bermuda Triangle has caused many fatalities, but these could have definitely occurred simply because of bad weather. Thousands of ships pass by the Bermuda Triangle every year just like any other part of the sea but the death rate is the same. The table below shows the number of fatalities in the Bermuda triangle versus the amount outside of it.

                        Year                                             Bermuda
                   Other Areas
 2000 3 51
 2015 35 194

As you can see the number of casualties in other areas is 6.75 times larger than the amount in the Bermuda triangle. The ships that have sunk in the Bermuda Triangle have been publicized so people think there is something wrong with the place, but the hundreds of ships that sink in other areas aren't publicized at all. In fact, there is no mystery behind the Bermuda Triangle.
